Having gone through the “work out every day” and “diet hard” for weight-loss approach myself and experiencing major failure and relapse whenever life became difficult, I realised I needed a solution where the focus wasn’t just on the outcome, but also on the process behind it.
After countless trials and errors, I developed a life-proof system that works for you even on your busiest days.
I find myself naturally driven. However, I had a blind spot. I used to focus on the visible outcome.
But every mountain has roots extending far deeper than what is visible. I failed because I focused on the peaks, not the roots. I wanted fast results. This one mistake cost me many years.
I would pursue something extreme until I felt completely burned out. Then I would binge and feel guilty.
It wasn't until I learned to be kind to myself that I finally started to understand where my desperation for speed came from. I wanted results without becoming the person capable of sustaining them.
This realization wasn't easy. It shook me to my core.
But for the first time, I responded with radical kindness. I allowed myself to be imperfect, but never inconsistent. I learned stress resilience. I learned the impact of sleep.
These became my roots.
Our health works the same way as a mountain. The visible peak is supported by invisible capabilities:

Ruthless ambition is not an obsession with the summit. It is a commitment to the roots. For me, ruthless ambition means being willing to build the roots required for the peak you want.
People think kindness means having no standards. For me, radical kindness means treating yourself with enough compassion to build slowly. It is the highest standard one can have for oneself.
